Services and capabilities
What services do you offer?
Full audio post-production including sound design, Foley, ADR, dialogue clean-up, spatial mixing, and final re-recording. We also provide production sync sound recording, ambience and FX recording, and professional equipment rental for film and media shoots.
What's the difference between Foley and dialogue editing?
Dialogue editing cleans, assembles, and prepares production dialogue tracks so speech is clear, consistent, and sync-accurate. Foley is performance-based sound recorded to picture (footsteps, cloth, props, and other sync elements) that sells physical realism the production mic may have missed.
What project formats do you support?
Stereo, 5.1, 7.1, and immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos.
Can you handle remote collaboration?
Yes, we use secure cloud platforms for remote spot-checking, live stream monitoring sessions, and asset transfer.
Do you offer production sound and sync sound recording?
Yes. Our production sound work covers sync sound mixing on set, ambience recording, FX recording, and Foley recording for features, documentaries, and series.
Delivery and technical specs
What are the standard delivery file formats?
Multi-channel interleaved or split WAV files at 24-bit/48kHz (or 96kHz upon request).
Do you provide M&E (Music and Effects) stems?
Yes, we deliver fully compliant international M&E stems alongside the final print master.
What loudness standards do you mix to?
We mix to exact target standards including EBU R128, ATSC A/85, and specific streaming platform requirements (Netflix, HBO, Amazon).
What tools do you use for post-production?
Post sessions typically run in Pro Tools with iZotope RX for dialogue clean-up, FabFilter for mixing, and Altiverb for reverberation, alongside the plug-ins required by each project's deliverable spec.

How do I book a project?

How do I hire for sound design?
Share your cut status, picture lock date, deliverable format (stereo, 5.1, Atmos), and creative brief. We scope dialogue edit, ambience, FX, Foley, and mix as needed, then confirm schedule and quote before starting.
Where is Aural Lab Sound based?
Our studio is at 754, 11th Main Rd, Vinayaka Layout, 2nd Stage, Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560072. We work with productions across India and internationally through on-set recording and remote post collaboration.
Equipment rental
Do you rent production sound equipment?
Yes. Equipment rental is available for production sync sound kits, boom microphones, wireless lavaliers, and related location recording gear. Kits can be rented with or without an engineer.
What equipment is available for rental?
Typical rental inventory includes Sound Devices mixer/recorders (788T, 688, 664, 633, MixPre series), Schoeps and Sennheiser boom mics, Lectrosonics wireless with Sanken COS-11 or DPA capsules, and ambience pairs (MS, XY, ORTF). Studio Foley mics such as Neumann and Rode are available for session work.
Can I rent gear without booking a full post package?
Yes. Equipment rental is offered as a standalone service for productions that already have a sound team, as well as bundled with our sync sound and post-production packages.
